Lagree Fitness began in 1998 when its creator, Sebastien Lagree, set out to develop the best method for sculpting and strengthening the body in the least amount of time with minimal risk of injury. Lagree Fitness is a combination of High Intensity, Low Impact, and Full Body workouts designed to strengthen and burn fat (up to 500 calories per class!). The Lagree method is often described as “Pilates on steroids”—fast, efficient, and super effective.
It’s no surprise that celebrities swear by it: Sophia Vergara, Jennifer Aniston, Kim Kardashian, Alessandra Ambrosio, Olivia Culpo… are all fans!
We offer group classes on the Microformer Pro as well as private sessions on the Megaformer or Microformer Pro.
The Lagree method offers two types of classes :
- 50 min for a full body workout
- 25 min express focus on 1 body part

The Lagree method is based on 7 principles:
EFFECTIVE FORM
Correct body alignment is essential for safety and effectiveness.
EFFECTIVE RANGE OF MOTION
A correct range of motion is emphasized.
EFFECTIVE TEMPO
The Lagree method ensures that each exercise is performed slowly and without momentum.
EFFECTIVE DURATION
The Lagree method uses “time under tension,” a strength training technique.
EFFECTIVE TENSION
The Lagree method uses “progressive overload,” another strength training technique.
EFFECTIVE TRANSITION
This principle is absent from Pilates but is crucial to the Lagree method, as it is a form of muscular endurance training. Essentially, there is no rest between movements.
EFFECTIVE PLANE OF MOTION
The Lagree method optimizes exercises by using various directions and angles of movement to engage the muscles in a comprehensive and functional way.
